Finally, I gave in to curiosity and trusted the notes—what a mistake! I’m not sure if it ever reminded me of Opium, but today it’s a total failure: nothing like the vintage I own, and nothing like the current version either. I’m not just recalling memories; I’m comparing them directly, and the difference is brutal. From the first spray, it’s clear they have nothing in common; this smells harsh, heavy, acidic, and bitter. It’s a cheap, terrible perfume that lasts forever, which makes it a nightmare. I wouldn’t even recommend it as a room freshener; it’s repulsive. Don’t fall for false expectations or waste your money; this is a disaster. The original Opium is unique, and anything else will be a disappointment and a financial loss.

I’m buying this blind, hoping it resembles the vintage Opium—the one I love so much and is so expensive. This house promises incredible quality at an accessible price. Thanks to a reviewer, I already own the Kashmir, a spectacular chypre with amazing longevity and sillage; I adore it! Others speak highly of other Milton Lloyd perfumes too, so I’m hoping someone tries this one and shares their thoughts; I’d really appreciate it. It currently has 44 votes and a 4.23 out of 5, so people know and like it, but I’m left wondering if it’s a clone of the vintage. If no one reviews it, I’ll be the one to share my experience. Come on, I need your opinions!
