  I love it. It’s a classic balsamic fougère from the eighties, delicate and unobtrusive, without any aggressive masculinity, yet it still makes you feel like the boss. Subtle and ethereal—and don’t let that fool you: it lasts eight hours and clings to the neck like a scarf.

  Green fougère. Lavender usually softens and sweetens, but here rosemary and cypress win by a landslide, creating a rough, gritty profile far from what the timid are looking for. Citrus at first, but the vegetation makes it astringent and sharp, a sensation that really cuts the nostrils. Then, geranium makes the scent more pleasant and rounded. In the dry down, the green notes, geranium, a light amber, and a very well-blended oakmoss form something precious—never sweet, but perfectly balanced. It works all year: fresh from the citrus and greens, ideal in spring thanks to the geranium, and very wearable in autumn and winter thanks to the oakmoss and amber. If you think fougère is just for barbershops, this JZ will change your mind.

  Pure green fougère. While lavender usually sweetens these scents, here rosemary and especially cypress take the lead, giving it a rough, gritty character that’s not for the faint of heart. It opens citrusy but with a sharp vegetal astringency that really cuts through the nose. Once the citrus fades, geranium softens the blow.
