The surprise of the year, you can’t miss it while it’s still available at this price; it would be a crime not to try it.
Got it because it’s often compared to Creed’s Royal Oud, which is a solid reference point, though the sillage doesn’t last as long. The opening is exquisite; I wish that spicy, nutmeg freshness lasted longer before opening up into something more oriental, like Lomani Body & Soul. In the dry down, it recalls that scent, but the oud is more subtle here, mixed with herbs—it feels timeless and not too dark. The box is gorgeous. If you’re looking for a big oud, go with Ferrari Essence Oud instead.
Bought it blind and it didn’t work for me: smells like heavy nutmeg, and that promised fresh lemon note is completely absent on my skin. I’d say it’s more for people over 40.
