Great option for summer, signed by Victorio & Lucchino.
A very good perfume for winter use, as it would be too heavy in summer and end up being tiring. The scent is strong, but I like this type of perfume, so I have no problem with it. And based on what I’ve read elsewhere, they say it has been discontinued.
Perfect for winter; it’s too heavy and tiring in the summer. The scent is strong, but I love these perfumes so it doesn’t bother me. From what I’ve read, they’ve already discontinued it.
Oh my god, do not wear this in summer! It’s a disaster. Patchouli hits you immediately, then more patchouli, then even more. Same with some nuances, but it’s all patchouli from start to finish. I tested a sample this morning and I’m dizzy. I’ve been smelling the most bold, sexy patchouli of my life for hours. I don’t think I’m overreacting… If you smell it, you know where you’re going. I recommend trying it. It has something from another era that really hooks you.
By God, not in summer… Talk about this perfume! Patchouli at first, then more patchouli, and then even more. Same with some nuances, but patchouli from start to finish. I put on a sample I found this morning and I’m completely dizzy; I’ve been smelling the most shameless and sexualized patchouli of my life for hours. And I don’t think I’m overreacting… If you smell it, you know what you’re dealing with. I recommend trying it. It has something from another era that hooks you.
Ten years ago, walking hand in hand with my mother on my first trip to Seville, discovering the South, just like Estrella when she goes to visit her grandmother, Tata Milagros, and the secret of her deceased father, in the second, never-filmed part of ‘The South’ by Víctor Erice. My eyes opened wide in that world of white and ochre yellow, smiling faces, and small altars with praying virgins, smelling of orange blossoms and swaying palms over the Guadalquivir, where Antonio Torres Heredia ‘cut round lemons and threw them into the water until it turned gold.’ VICTORIO & LUCCHINO’s ‘HOMBRE’ is a balanced perfume: in its notes, its evolution, its atmosphere, and its conception. I’d place it in the Aromatic Woody family. It greets with a flourish of farolaes based on citrus and carnations, like a Andalusian flirtation, spreading its aroma with the flutter of a fan that reminds us of the courtyard of the Velázquez Birthplace in Seville, where V&L had their workshop. It’s a cheerful, sparkling opening, with the grace of a horse at the Royal Fair and a carriage laden with carnations, jasmine, and gypsy girls. The orange blossom flower enchants the air of Seville, in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, in the Patio de los Naranjos, and in the Royal Alcázares. Beauty upon beauty! A precious woody aromatic dry-down, the result of orris root, patchouli, sandalwood, and benzoin, heirs to the Umayyad, Abbassid, and Almohad traditions. I would have named this perfume ‘SEVILLE’ and contained it in a white and ochre yellow frosted flask, adorned it with flowers, garlands, and reliquaries, and sung a thousand verses until it turned gold.
‘Hombre’ is a gorgeous cologne, and what’s a shame is what these designers are selling now under their name: those ‘perfumed waters’ from drugstores that smell like tap water with a drop of perfume, aimed at a public that fades into the gray. The first V&L launch for men has nothing to do with the current stuff. It’s a woody scent starting with citrus, fruity, and liquorish notes before evolving into a refined, delicate yet present aroma. Earthy patchouli, sweet notes, and above all cedar, all very balanced and well-composed, with incense undertones. It’s complex and gentle, with moderate projection and correct longevity. It works just as well at night as during the day in formal situations. It dresses you up beautifully; despite its robustness, it’s not heavy or invasive, but rather quite pleasant. Its carefully crafted presentation deserves special mention, featuring a lovely flask-cante in a box decorated with great taste. It’s on par with scents like Gucci pour Homme, Quorum Silver, or Ricci Memoir d’Homme—those sophisticated, elegant woody fragrances that never get old. It’s a must-buy if you can find it at any perfumerie.
Good afternoon, I’ve been searching for Victorio & Lucchino’s ‘Hombre’ for months, both online and in perfume stores. If anyone knows where to get it, I’d be incredibly grateful—I’ve been using it since 2009. Thank you very much.
It pleasantly surprises you with its balance, class, and great aroma without any pretension. Very sensual and a delight for the nose; that floral-sweet sensation catches you off guard. It combines the wisdom of Spanish fragrances with the best of modern European style. A versatile travel companion with performance for any adventure, a beautiful proposal among Bofifa’s treasures.
It smells like playdoh, and I never know when to use it. I’m at 95% usage and I’m either selling or trading it away.
A suffocating scent of incense, patchouli, wood, flowers, and honey; sweet but overwhelming. I’d only wear it on cold nights in a suit for a special event, but there are more interesting options for that.
It’s the best fragrance I’ve ever owned. Since they stopped making it, I’ve been searching for something similar without success. It’s very masculine, elegant, and better suited for winter. If anyone has some, I’ll buy it from them.
I bought it hoping to smell like Miguel Ángel Silvestre from the ad, but it turned out to be a woody, elegant fragrance with a potent patchouli note that lasts forever for under 20 euros. I still don’t smell exactly like him, but at least I’m getting closer.
I bought it hoping it would make me smell like Miguel Ángel Silvestre from the ad, but it was a total flop. As soon as I sprayed it, all I noticed was a woody, elegant scent packed with patchouli. It lasts forever and costs less than 20 euros. As for looking like Miguel Ángel, I still don’t, but smelling like him is a step in the right direction.
