It reminds me of Boss Orange. I tried the Jafra and immediately thought of my previous perfume; once I got home, I confirmed they are similar. They aren’t identical—the Jafra smells sweeter—but if you test them side by side, you’ll see the resemblance. No surprise there, since the Boss is from 2011 and this Jafra from 2014.
Keeping my promise, I tested the fragrance at the office today, and it was a total hit. For those who don’t know, it’s way better than expected. It got me tons of compliments, it’s not linear with a nice evolution, good trail, and lasts about 5 hours before settling into the skin with a rich scent. I checked if it was discontinued, and luckily the seller had three more bottles. I didn’t hesitate to buy them; I think this will be my signature. That hint of brandy gave me coconut notes, a pleasant surprise. It’s clean and soapy. If you find it, buy it—you won’t regret it.
I just got hold of this rare fragrance I didn’t know about. It’s a Jafra launched in 2014. Maybe it’s discontinued, but it’s excellent; the bottle I have seems to be an early one since it’s quite oily. Today I went for a run in cool weather to test it with my sweat. At first, with the cold, it’s shy but present; with body heat, it becomes much more noticeable. It starts citrusy and spicy, then moves to middle notes of jasmine, rich tobacco, and lavender that adds freshness. The woods, patchouli, amber, and vanilla are strong. Tomorrow, with warmer weather, I’ll evaluate its performance at the office. Without a doubt, it’s a lost gem.
