Descripción

Coffee Man by O Boticário is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in the 2000s, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Verônica Casanova. Its opening unfolds a vibrant blend of pepper, cardamom, ginger, bamboo, bergamot, green notes, and grapefruit. The heart reveals a warm and aromatic mix of tobacco, nutmeg, iris, violet, geranium, and hyssop. To finish, the base notes offer a robust and persistent foundation of coffee, amber, leather, sandalwood, Virginia cedar, and patchouli.

A good fragrance for men, halfway between traditional scents (geranium, patchouli, leather, bergamot) and gourmand. I actually like the women’s version more, both in aroma and projection, but this Coffee Man is also great. Besides the notes mentioned, you can really smell coffee (like an Americano… if you’re looking for espresso, try something more intense and dark), tobacco, a hint of ginger, nutmeg, violet, sandalwood, bamboo, and amber. It manages to smell like coffee (more green than roasted) and, if you want, like a man hahaha, but I’d prefer fewer ingredients and more gourmand (I’m starting to think I tested it with biases hahaha). Overall, good for daily use, various climates, and activities… since it’s one foot in aromatic and one in gourmand, it stands out a bit from the crowd.

Finally tried several fragrances from this house at an O Boticario boutique (one they just opened or I didn’t notice before, one of two). I didn’t fall in love, but I did like it. I didn’t detect the coffee; throughout the experience, I sensed geranium, some incredibly rich woods, and sweetness. It’s a very good fragrance, but that’s about it. If I buy something from this house (and so far I’ve only wanted to try three), I would definitely choose this one. Very pleasant to the nose. It lasted a long time on blotter paper, which surprised me; I hope it performs the same on skin. PS: This is my type of fragrance—aromatic wood with spices and masculine florals (please excuse the clarification).

Interesting fragrance; my first time trying this brand. Pleasant overall; while the coffee note isn’t very prominent, it’s there, well accompanied by iris (which I definitely perceive), woods, and leather. It’s a refined, different proposal with performance that’s more than acceptable these days. Not bad at all, ideal for cool afternoons with jeans, a button-down, and a light tan that will make you feel irresistible.

  • The scent is brutally rich and pleasant, sweet but perfectly balanced. Notes of coffee, sandalwood, amber, and nutmeg are there, though very faint, almost as subtle as the perfume itself. That’s a flaw: I have to spray 6 to 8 times for it to be noticeable, and add two more during the day because after three hours, it’s gone. It has poor longevity and almost no sillage, just skin scent. The only downside is that the scent is indeed rich.
