  I absolutely love violets—a taste inherited from my grandmother and her sister, who always grew violets in colorful ceramic pots that now decorate my living room. My great-aunt, who spent summers at the beach with the whole family, always brought a giant box of violet candies, a wonderful mystery to me. She also gifted different French perfumes each year: L’Air du Temps, Sans la Nuit de Worth, and a rare Guerlain with a mushroom-shaped cap. It’s a sweetness to share, perfect from spring onward.
