I ordered a 5ml sample and was amazed. Since I started testing fragrances from this house, I can’t stop being surprised. Almond Harmony is almond-y, harmonious, very creamy, and distinct from the usual in perfumery. It’s a special fusion, creamy, and even soapy. Its high balsamic content makes the difference: it’s not a typical sweet, intense pastry-style almond, but it’s on another level; it’s not heavy or opulent, but very appreciable and one of the best I’ve tried on this niche journey. It has a trail of an arm and lasts about 10 hours. It’s straight to my wishlist, among the most urgent. It’s exquisite and impeccable. It’s not a copy of anything.
My first blind buy; now it’s an adrenaline sport. Almond Harmony is what I thought Italica would be (without taking anything away from Italica): a vanillaized, creamy almond with a milky touch, lots of heliotrope, and a floral bouquet that adds more flavor. On the first spray, the almond is totally the star; then all the accords come together. After 5 minutes, it settles into what I call plasticine (Play-Doh here): yes, it smells exactly like those I played with as a kid and almost ate; now at thirty-something, I still have the craving and want to eat the arm where I applied it, hahaha. After half an hour, balsamic notes appear, an amber touch, and vanilla and tonka take off, with something more ‘nutty’ peeking through, maybe chestnut. Between these two facets, it moves until it fades on the skin. Exquisite.
My favorite perfume from this house. It’s super gourmand and edible. The best almond perfume I’ve ever smelled. Wish 📝💕
I bought it to collect bottles from this house, and I’m sorry to say I didn’t like it. I thought it would be an Italica without the milky note, but it smells like plastic doll from start to finish. Nothing like it. The almond never even appeared after hours, just that softer plastic scent. So far, nothing beats the almond in Italica in my collection.
At first, the opening is a delicious almond mixed with heliotrope; it smells luxurious, expensive, and uncommon, very pleasant. It’s super versatile, works for daily wear, dinners, or formal gatherings. But after a while, it just smells like a new plastic doll. I considered buying it for the opening, but the drydown didn’t convince me, and the projection wasn’t the best either.
