Absolutely Irresistible by Givenchy

An acidic and harsh opening that settles into a smoky, intense, and sweet base. Hello, olfactory fatigue! This Absolutely Irresistible is so potent that it overwhelms me in a few minutes, although it does leave a good trail: itchy nose and painful nostrils. It’s too penetrating, too thick. Even if I could stand its density, I wouldn’t end up liking it because it’s excessively voluptuous and shapeless. I’m not upset they discontinued it, what a nasal nightmare!

What an extraordinary perfume! I’ve never smelled anything like it; it’s totally original, balanced, and very sensual. Super elegant and addictive! Excellent longevity like the other Very scents; I miss it so much. I’d love to find one like it; it’s one of my favorites and it’s discontinued. If anyone has one and can let me buy it or trade it for one from my collection, I’d be so happy, as I haven’t been able to get it in Argentina for over 10 years 😢.

It was the first perfume I bought with my salary from a steady job. I loved the scent; whenever I wore it, I liked how soft, elegant, floral, and sweet the aroma was. When it ran out and I went to look for it again, it was already discontinued 😔. If anyone knows of a perfume with the same scent, I’d appreciate it, or where I can buy it; I’m scared of eBay or Amazon options and that they might be fake copies.

At first, when I smelled it, I thought it was for a mature woman (40 and up), but then it softened a lot and became more suitable for my age (23 years). It’s super spicy and at the same time floral; I usually don’t like florals, but this one is different.

Wow, what a delight this perfume was for me. It was so intense I felt like eating it.

It’s a special, seductive, and attractive fragrance. I’ve been using the classic for six years, but once I tried Absolutely on a friend and I loved it. It’s a blend of the classic with something woody and spicy. Ideal for cold climates, I used it in winter and it was gone… I adored it. It’s a shame it’s no longer produced, at least not in Argentina. I know Bagués made something similar and long-lasting, but they don’t anymore. It’s clear they’re following trends and ditching the classics. If anyone knows where to get it, let me know.

To me, it’s amazingly delicious, long-lasting, and attractive, very elegant. I gifted it to my mom and she was fascinated. It can still be found in a few places, but less and less. Highly recommended!!!!

I was sad to try it; I love Givenchy quality, and this isn’t ‘absolutely irresistible.’ On my skin, it lasts about half an hour with a light trail. It might work if you’re looking for something sweet but not overpowering.

I own it and I like it. The red berries stand out, along with a bit of pepper and the jasmine that gives it a unique aroma. It lasts a long time on the skin. My next purchase will be the ‘Very Irresistible Sensual’; the original doesn’t work for me—it smells too much like star anise and isn’t to my liking.

I’m a blind buyer when it comes to perfumes; I rely heavily on Fragrantica and user suggestions. Many hits, but not with this one. I made the effort, and it still doesn’t please me, on top of that I bought the 75ml bottle. It’s very strong, lasts forever, and smells like jasmine but very plastic, nothing natural, very heavy. After the initial blast, the patchouli really stands out, giving it a somewhat masculine vibe. Unfortunately, it gives me a terrible headache. Maybe I’ll give it a shot in winter, otherwise it will go to whoever appreciates it.

Even though the name sounds the same as the original, it’s completely different. It features a soft, sweet jasmine with a modern touch. Give it a try and judge for yourselves.
