  It’s a tobacco and animalic perfume that, combined with the other ingredients, creates a distinct animal leather scent. The tobacco, cinnamon, and sandalwood sweeten and warm those notes, giving it a less dark and penetrating feel than Café or Cacao, as if it were simply animal skin or fur.

  Pretty disappointing overall. While the notes promised something else, the castoreum and civet don’t dominate; maybe they contribute to that darkness, but they’re nearly imperceptible. I don’t detect pure tobacco, perhaps it’s a very dark tobacco acting as a sweetener. What is true is that it evolves into something darker after half an hour, starting woody and forest-like. If it had better performance, it could be a mystical, imposing presence, but since it stays skin-deep with low projection, it’s not for going out. Perfect for reading a horror novel by the fireplace on a rainy autumn or winter night, just for those two hours after dinner before bed.
