  Starts with fresh algae, very green, almost like you just cut them, perhaps a bit too much. In the dry down, there’s a hint of myrtle, though it’s not the star like it is in Acqua di Sale. The initial impact calms down quickly and gives way to ambergris, which doesn’t feel natural or like ambroxan; it has a dark touch. I see it as a middle ground between Acqua di Sale and Megamare. It smells evocative; it’s not usable like AdiSale or Sel Marin, but rather paints an olfactory landscape like Megamare; this one transports me to a coastal town. Zeitgeist is like a walk on the beach on a cloudy day saturated with algae, not in a bad way, but it’s the least I liked of the 4, nothing terrible, just didn’t captivate me. On the skin, it has reasonable power but fades very fast; after two hours it loses its charm and leaves a muddled mix with less defined algae, some ambergris, and a musky base that does last several more hours on the skin.
