Ylang Cananga is a new jewel in my collection. It’s subtle yet has a strong presence, a halo of elegance and distinction. Ylang dominates, but I also detect frangipani and woods. It smells like a warm embrace and comfort; sweet, creamy, floral, with a tropical touch. I’d wear it all year, being careful on very hot days, to feel safe and calm. It has an oily nuance that makes it unforgettable, addictive, natural, and high concentration. Wide trail, medium projection, and 8 to 10 hours of longevity. I’d buy it a thousand times over.
Ylang, more ylang! Very much in the style of Chloé—delicate and elegant. It’s a powerful scent that lasts forever; on my dry skin, it lasts over 8 hours, and on clothes, it’s eternal. It doesn’t evolve much; it starts and ends as pure ylang, but you can tell the ingredients are high quality. Perfect for intermediate days, neither too cold nor too hot. It’s the perfect yellow floral: present, bold, clean, and elegant. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth every euro; two sprays are enough. The atomizer is great, launching a wide mist for a perfect application. A 10/10 job!
I absolutely love ylang perfumes, and this one didn’t miss a beat. Upon application, it smells like creamy ylang with a woody touch—super tropical, yet without that cheap sunscreen vibe. It has an indolic nuance that makes it unique among yellow florals, and that tropical vanilla base reminds me of a hidden plumeria. As it dries down, it gains more wood without losing the floral. It’s very linear: strong projection at first, then it softens. Lasted over 10 hours on my skin. If I were a sexy, sophisticated woman in Southeast Asia, this would be my scent. It doesn’t smell like the beach, but rather a sunset party in a lush garden with people in silk and jewels. It’s sensual because it smells like life, heat, and humidity; it’s so festive it almost pulses. Even though it’s floral, the wood makes it suitable for men, and it has enough body for any season, though it shines in summer. A must for yellow floral lovers.
