The Ulrich de Varens house continues to surprise us with their new releases. The classic UDV in the grey box, with that 80s citrus and wood vibe, remains my favorite. Their flankers are very fresh and offer unbeatable value for the price. Version Black, launched in 2010, is 95% identical to Azzaro Chrome; for those who don’t own it, it’s an almost perfect dupe. Plus, its longevity and projection are excellent. For the price, it’s a great summer option: fresh, with a citrus and aromatic opening and that typical metallic Azzaro touch. It’s floral but keeps a masculine edge. I recommend it for wallet-friendly, casual freshness. After two hours, it softens into an ideal post-shower floral. That’s how I wear it, and I love it.
