Tierra de Agave by Sicili Fragrances is an olfactory creation from the amber family, designed for men and women. This fragrance, newly launched in 2025, has been composed by Salvador Castellanos and Luis García Llaguno. Its olfactory pyramid unfolds with a vibrant opening of lemon and sour lime; a spiced and smoky heart that blends mezcal, smoke, and labdanum; and a warm, earthy base where agave and earthy notes give body to the composition.

I tried it today after a friend lent it to me, and it’s a total hit. Upon opening, it smells of smoky agave honey with citrus and a slight alcoholic kick that makes it a bit dense for the heat, but at 47 degrees today, it didn’t overwhelm me. That opening reminds me of the process of roasting agave breasts to make mezcal honey. After half an hour, it evolves into the scent of mezcal itself, with green and earthy notes typical of a good tasting. They managed to emulate both the creation and the tasting of mezcal; it’s delicious and very wearable. If you like sweet scents that aren’t heavy, this is a safe blind buy, since the smokiness and earthiness add character without being dark.
