  It’s a fresh fragrance that on my dry skin leaves a citrus-fruity aroma, with sweet orange and ambergris up front, and the ambergris evoking the sea. In the background, a hidden pear, flowers like ylang-ylang and jasmine, and the woods are barely noticeable; too bad because I love rose and heliotrope, which I don’t perceive. It belongs to the ‘Sea Stars’ collection, I imagine it tries to evoke the beach—not a tropical Caribbean, but somewhere like Greece or Italy, hence the sweet citrus that reminds me of a summer in Sorrento. The listed notes are: citrus, ambergris, jasmine, heliotrope, patchouli, ylang-ylang, musk, vetiver, oak, cedar, and oud. The top notes are Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, hawthorn flower, Bulgarian rose, and pear. The heart has ambergris, jasmine, Peruvian heliotrope, red patchouli, and ylang-ylang. The base repeats the ambergris, musk, Tahitian vetiver, Tuscan oak, cedar, Cambodian oud, and more ambergris.

  On my skin, Telea smells like nothing, but my boyfriend noticed and said it smells like Carolina Herrera—rich, clean woman, like unscented shampoo, something subtle and elegant because it’s different. Maybe it’s the hawthorn flower or a very soft rose that gives it that expensive vibe, and in the end, the musk seals the clean scent without being overwhelming. For me, it’s super clean and fresh, smells like just-showered without any fruits or herbs, just a hint of something that smells good, like a memory of a dream.
