Today I was testing fragrances looking for something sweet and unconventional, so I went to sniff out the Jo Malone scents. This one smells VERY delicious, with juicy cherimoya, fresh, creamy, and soapy. BUT the trail is extremely weak, almost imperceptible. The dry-down reminds me a lot of Tiffany’s Love (which I own and which doesn’t share notes): a delicate, soft, and very feminine sweetness, one that you smell on your skin and think ‘mmm, so good,’ but I repeat, quite weak 🙁
I was looking for something sweet and different from my usual, so I went to smell the Jo Malone scents. This one smells VERY rich, with juicy cherimoya, fresh, creamy, and soapy. BUT the trail is extremely weak, almost imperceptible. The drydown reminds me a lot of Tiffany’s Love (though they don’t share notes): a delicate sweet, soft, and very feminine scent, the kind that lingers on your skin and you think ‘mmm, so good’, but I repeat, quite weak 🙁
I tried this at duty free without high expectations. On paper, the cherimoya is super creamy with a sweet pear touch and tonka base. On my skin that same day, it kept that perfect fruity sweetness ideal for summer without being overpowering. The performance is linear, with soft projection and only about 2 hours of longevity on me. It reminds me of my mother’s salad, the ‘happy cherimoya’ (cherimoya with orange juice), for that slightly astringent yet creamy flavor. It’s like a ‘for everyone’ version of Loewe’s Ibiza: pretty, unpretentious, perfect for hot days or even work due to its low sillage. I liked it, but the short duration doesn’t justify spending more than €10.
I tried this at a duty-free stop without much hesitation. On paper, the cherimoya stands out for its creaminess alongside the sweetness of pear and a tonka base. On skin, it remained very creamy and sweet—a wearable fruity sweetness for summer that doesn’t bother others. It performed linearly with soft projection and a disappointing two-hour longevity. It brings me back to my mother’s ‘happy cherimoya’ (cherimoya with orange juice) thanks to that sweet, astringent flavor. Curiously, it reminds me of Loewe’s Ibiza as if it were the ‘for everyone’ version. It’s a pretty, simple scent, good for mild days or work due to its low projection. Pleasant, but the short longevity makes it not worth spending more than €10 on.
