I just tried it at the perfumerie. For the first 15 minutes it smells good, fresh, and fruity, but then it becomes unbearable, a mix of bleach and air freshener. I tested it on skin, paper, and a handkerchief and it smelled the same. I love Acqua di Gioia EDP and Sun di Gioia, but this one isn’t for me.
I tried it at the perfumery and for the first 15 minutes it smelled nice—fresh and fruity—but then it became unbearable, like a mix of bleach and air freshener. I tested it on skin, paper, and a handkerchief, and it smelled the same. I love Acqua di Gioia EDP and Sun di Gioia, but this one isn’t for me.
I bought it blindly online on Cyber Monday since I already own Sun di Gioia and several Armanis. I read it smelled like bleach and got scared, but it is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL. The mix of roses and fruits is perfect; on my skin it smells amazing and lasts forever. I’m SUPER HAPPY!
They let me try it in the store and I loved it instantly. It smells fresh and sweet, perfect for right now. I already want to buy it.
Horrible. It’s more for older ladies. The only thing you smell is a strong rose scent.
Too bad, it smells like strong roses and feels more like something for older ladies.
Delicate and feminine; I notice the fruity notes, peony, and roses. It gives a clean sensation, with moderate projection and trail for about 4 hours. Ideal for work or being scented without bothering others. I love Acqua di Gioia and see SKY as equally suitable for warm climates.
Very floral, smells like roses, but it’s not a simple rose perfume; it’s well-crafted. Intense with good sillage.
I bought it because they told me the rose was very prominent. But upon smelling it, I was disappointed. I don’t know how, but it’s a spiced-profile perfume; it made me think of Davidoff’s Cool Water, that dry spice. I let a friend who knows Acqua di Gio/Gioia well try it, and she said it was very similar to the classic and that for such a small difference, she’d stick with the classic… I didn’t like it and have it available to swap if anyone wants it (Argentina).
I bought it for the rose, but it disappointed me. It’s spicy and dry; it reminded me of Davidoff’s Cool Water. A friend who knows Aqua di Gioia said it was very similar to the classic and, given the small difference, she kept the original. I didn’t like it and have it to exchange (Argentina).
PEAR. Very sensual.
Smells like rose and pear shampoo… nothing else to add!
Very refined, soft on my skin but long-lasting. I love the scent; the floral notes stand out, a gorgeous peony and a more discreet rose that I can definitely smell.
Very refined; on my skin it’s soft yet long-lasting. I love the scent; the floral aspect stands out: a lovely peony and a subtle rose that I can definitely feel.
The lychee note is super prominent! I recognized it instantly without even knowing the notes. It’s super fresh, youthful, and balanced, perfect for hot days. Reminds me of Diamonds by Emporio Armani, maybe because of the lychee! So rich. P.S.: It seems stronger, more citrusy, and defined than the traditional version.
It’s very similar to Aqua, but it lacks that special twist. It’s distinct yet obvious: it’s Aqua without lemon, replaced by damask rose petals and sweet lychee (like grape/watermelon). It’s rounder, smoother, and sweeter than Aqua. Rich, exquisite; I imagine it as a velvety, innocent version of Versace’s Bright Crystal; upon smelling it, Armani wins. It’s silky and intense, evoking delicacy, freedom, and freshness without being citrusy. If you smell it a bit, people will ask for the source. It shares notes with Daisy Dream (pear, lychee, musk, blackberry, wood), but the rose makes it smooth and carefree compared to Daisy’s jasmine. Hey, I want to get rid of it because I never wear it, but it seduces me. Floral, fresh, aquatic, and juicy.
If it’s true that it’s very similar to Aqua, it’s the other one I have and the first one I ever owned. I expected more development; it’s different but very obvious. It lacks the wink that Aqua has, but in Sky version… it’s like Aqua without lemon. Instead, you get soft, very distinguishable flower petals, I’d say damask rose, sweetened by lychee (smells like sweet grape/watermelon) or vice versa, very present lychee rounded out by rose. Those two notes are the ones I perceive most, along with the classic Armani aroma. A fragrance without the sharpness of Aqua, making it flatter, as I said, rounded and without edges, but sweeter than Aqua. Rich, exquisite; I imagine it as a velvet, sweet, innocent version of Versace’s Bright Crystal; in fact, since this is entering my collection, Versace will be leaving. Sky is more “silky” but more intense; when smelling both, for me Armani dominated over Versace. Sky is an aroma that makes you think of something delicate, just like Aqua leaves its trail suspended in the air after spraying—an aroma of freedom, of peace, of femininity, a scent of clean and fresh without being citrusy. Those are the kind of aromas where if you smell them a bit, you search for them to “savor” more and notice in public when people are looking for the source. I have Daisy Dream and they are very similar; they share pear, lychee, musk, blackberry, and wood (not minor). The big difference for me is the rose and the lack of jasmine; that floral swap makes Sky smoother and more carefree with the Rose, and sharper and more formal with Daisy’s jasmine. Hey, I’ve wanted to get rid of it, never use it, but I can’t, haha; it seduces me. Fresh, aquatic, juicy floral.
Starts powerful and sparkling, with a spicy-sweet fruity touch I love. Lychee shines over soft rose petals. Excellent longevity, ideal for spring-summer daytime wear; it gives that youthful spark you’re looking for. I’d definitely buy it again.
It has a powerful, sparkling opening, slightly spicy and sweet (like fruit). I love it; it’s very feminine. The lychee note stands out and lasts all day, accompanied by soft rose petals. I love it; it has great longevity. I recommend wearing it in spring-summer, definitely during the day; it’s stimulating and ideal for women who want that spark of cheerfulness. I would definitely buy it again.
It’s not overly sweet; it’s a feminine gem, comfortable and versatile for any season. An indispensable wildcard that I absolutely adore.
