  The perfume smells weird, but it’s addictive; it’s repellent, that scent you don’t know whether to hate or love. Suddenly it smells feminine, then amber, then metallic, like lacquer. It’s spiky, incisive, and always changing. I admit it’s original and reminds me of nothing, but it feels like a jumble of disconnected notes.

  It hits you hard and fast, dropping to a dizzying pace. The downside is that the shock is overwhelming, and you end up missing it. Spiced, tobacco-heavy leathers usually give me a headache, but I handle Quando rapita in estasi just fine. I’m not sure if I’m getting tougher or if the incense outweighs that dangerous mix of clove and myrrh. It starts dusty, very dry, with a lovely medicinal nuance. Sadly, the syrupy, sharp pine-incense fades quickly on my skin, leaving behind a tough, elegant clove-peach finish that’s no longer quite as unique. That minor-chord organ roar that announced its arrival has lost its steam and turned into a mere echo without momentum.
