  My friend from college gifted me this when I was 18, just starting my independent life with the future swirling in my head. Even though I didn’t see myself in the job I was studying for, I was happy to have taken that step. I remember sleepless nights smelling my hair and pajamas; even though it was a cheap fragrance, it lasted all day and night, whispering ‘everything will be okay.’ It smells like caramelized pear compote, an absolute gem. My coconut meals involved emigrating to Germany, even though I knew it would take a lot of guts, but I did it. During Christmas 1998, the streets smelled just like my perfume. I had manifested my future with that scent, and in Germany, they serve apple compote with desserts! After this whirlwind… As for the perfume: I discovered here that I absolutely love pear scents. Beyond citrus, I don’t enjoy much fruit unless it’s well-blended with florals or musk, but this one is incredible. Since then, I’ve been searching for something similar, but they discontinued it because it was part of the Christmas line, and I can’t find anything quite like it. I’m keeping my eyes open for any recommendations 🥺
