  Josesan is a dreamy teenager who escapes his real world through esoteric books and fantasy. He seeks out an Eastern mage named DARKBEAT THE MAGNANIMOUS, owner of a unique collection of oriental perfumes. After invoking the mage with a manuscript from the library, he is handed LATTIFA NAKAHAT AL OUD. The mage describes an opening of floral and spicy notes featuring deep pink rose, Persian saffron, and Sri Lankan cinnamon. Then appears a non-animalic oud, blended with earthy patchouli, amber, sandalwood, and vanilla, finishing with a touch of sweet incense. Josesan cries with emotion; the fragrance makes him forget his troubles and feel protected and happy in a universe of harmony.

  Agree with Apolito: starts as an alcoholic bomb that quickly softens into a genuine oriental scent, nothing Western, very Lattafa style but with moderate sillage, which is rare here. I like that it settles down to be comfortable for Mediterranean weather and feels more masculine. On my nose, cedar and patchouli stand out, perfect for winter, autumn, or spring nights. Edit: the longevity is beast mode, like all Lattafa; it’s still skin-deep after 12 hours. A total success at €20 that big brands should learn from. Orientals are increasingly dominating the Western market for a reason.

  Smells super oriental, with a powerful, woody opening and lots of alcohol, just as the bottle and color suggest. It’s an adult, elegant fall/winter fragrance; once it dries down, the initial force lessens a bit and it becomes perfect for indoors or mild climates. I don’t detect the sweet notes others mention. I’ll update on longevity and projection: after 2-3 hours, it’s no longer as potent (tested on skin only, not on clothes).
