For years, this was my mother’s perfume—that aldehydic floral scent that seemed to last forever. She eventually switched to L’air du Temps by Nina Ricci, which smells almost identical. Without a doubt, one of Revlon’s best vintage fragrances. Unforgettable.

This is my mom’s favorite perfume. She switched to an Estée Lauder one; both are discontinued, but when you can find them, they’re nearly identical: strong, vintage, ambered, full of aldehydes, with an immense trail that lasts all day. Very, very heavy.

My mom wore this when I was a teenager. I only remember it being very strong but I loved it, and that the box was black with gold lettering. I think I’m right about this one.
It was my first perfume when I was 14. Forty years have passed, and I barely remember it well—just that it was very strong and cloying. My friends and the nuns at school absolutely loved my scent; they always asked me what I was wearing. I’d love to smell it again, but I’m not sure if it’s still available to buy.
It was my favorite fragrance from adolescence. It accompanied me and set me apart throughout my youth. I wore it on my wedding night because, even though I’ve tried many others, it remains my husband’s and my favorite.
