Kanlaon Noir by Hamút is a woody-oriental fragrance for women and men that launched in 2025 and was created by perfumer Vincent Joseph Entuna.
It moves from bright pink pepper and citrus up top to a rich base of coffee, tonka bean, oud wood and cedar.
The opening pairs pink pepper with citrus notes. It feels sparkling and lightly peppery, keeping enough freshness to lift the darker layers that follow.
At the heart, chocolate meets sambac jasmine, also known as sampaguita. The chocolate brings a dark, creamy sweetness, while the jasmine adds a clean white-floral brightness.
The drydown centers on coffee tincture and coffee alongside tonka bean. Roasted bitterness and vanilla-like softness sit side by side, giving that familiar modern oriental contrast.
Oud wood and cedar work underneath as the woody frame. They add dry depth and structure, keeping the chocolate and tonka sweetness from turning heavy.
