It’s very similar to Desert Suave by Liquides Imaginaires. I was expecting a sweeter, more honeyed rose, like Lancôme’s Roses Berberitze (the Turkish delights), but instead I find a more balanced sweetness with dried fruits, very warm and spicy. It seems the rose is paired only with sweet clove, saffron, sesame seeds, and dates; I’m missing the honey. For me, it’s not super gourmand. It’s unisex. It also has some air of Jardins de Misfah by Une Nuit Nomade, so if you know that, here’s another reference. I’m still unsure whether to keep it or pass it on to someone else. I’ll test it again in autumn to see if it’s worth it. It’s pretty, but I was expecting more density and sweetness in the essence.

After four hours, as it dries down, it suddenly smells like Zoologist’s BEE, although this fragrance is richer for me than that one, which smells more like wax to me. The roses are subtle, sweet, and spectacular, covered in honey with a touch of sandalwood, amber, nut, a light floral, sweetness, and vanilla that make it sensual, not an childish gourmand. It’s definitely delicious.

It’s like an Arabic dessert: notes of honey, toasted nuts with a smoky touch, the sweetness of dates, and saffron and rose that add character without being the main event. It’s a special, unique scent, though honestly, it gets cloying and has a weird note that becomes more noticeable the more I wear it. On top of that, the longevity is a shame—barely four hours with almost no sillage. It’s super unisex and versatile; I bought the travel size and won’t be hunting for the full bottle.
