The olfactive pyramid unfolds with top notes of grapefruit and mandarin; a heart of cipriol, cedar, and patchouli; and a base that evokes the warmth of sandalwood and oud wood.

Caught me off guard, but in a good way. The scent profile is a 10, but the performance left me wanting more. While it smells different from Lalique’s Encre Noire À L’Extrême, it follows a similar path, just without that distinct dampness. They share that green note: cypress in Lalique, here it’s cypriol, layered over a earthy, woody base. Terrasse is very earthy with a subtle herbaceous touch and strong wood. Citrus kicks off at the beginning but fades quickly, reminiscent of Encre Noire for that smoky vibe, though without incense. A few minutes in, that darkness recedes, leaving a wild, earthy, and intensely woody aroma. I don’t detect any oud at all. Maybe it’s just my nose, but I always sense a very subtle green nuance, somewhere between camphor and mint. It’s an exquisite fragrance, perfect for autumn rather than winter. Totally masculine; I can’t imagine a woman wearing this. Am I wrong? The poor performance is the main issue. The intensity drops fast, clings to the skin, and disappears quickly (in my case). A great perfume that leaves you craving more.
