Descripción

Juicy Couture Eau de Couture is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2008, this composition was created by perfumer Harry Fremont. Upon release, the fragrance unfolds with mandarin, passion fruit, watermelon, and green apple; the heart reveals neroli, lily of the valley, and rose; while the base settles on woody notes, caramel, vanilla, and patchouli.

In my country, I can only find this version; apparently, everyone reviews the one with the lock, which is the one I want, but no—I’m sure I have the crown version, and they smell different. It’s a sweet, white floral with citrus, caramel notes, and you have to choose carefully where to spray. The opening is brutal, abrupt, and hard to describe, like soapy neroli with orange and very sweet, though it doesn’t announce crème brûlée. I think it has a touch of salty vanilla and talc that becomes more present and feminine as it dries. There’s a green note that keeps it fresh. It’s all on a woody base, somewhere between gourmand and soapy. The trail is moderate, but if you’re close to the skin, it projects a lot. Everything is noticeable except the watermelon. As it dries, it gives off clean, sweet-salty gourmand vibes that remind me of a cookie, like the crown on the neck. That’s where it smells best, just like the bottle. I also own Gold Couture, and they don’t differ much; I’ve had other Juicy scents that were quite different. It reminds me a bit of JPG for its sweetness and abruptness, its attitude, but nothing else. It doesn’t send a message to anyone; it goes with everything and was a hidden gem. 💣. It’s similar to Ariana Grande’s Thank You Next, just not in red berries and with a different dessert… it also reminds me of JPG’s Classique Essence (the whipped cream one). That’s the only reference I can make (very vaguely, don’t take them as similar comparisons), since I know nothing alike, but it’s a gourmand dry-down, not a fresh floral.

I get the ‘old lady’ rumor because it starts as pure floral, but dries down sweeter. It’s not fruity or juicy, just fresh and sweet—perfect for daily wear, day or night. It didn’t blow my mind, but it works great at the office; I might even gift it to my mom. I got it in a set with a mini, travel size, and lotion, so it was a good purchase and I finally have a JC. Since I prefer gourmand or sweeter scents, I might grab a Viva LJ instead. Maybe letting it macerate will change things a bit, so I’ll store it for a few weeks and update the review.
