The opening brings together cinnamon, grapefruit, raspberry, cypress, thyme and rosemary. It is the brightest section, citrusy and green with a clear aromatic lift.
The heart layers lactones, iris, lily of the valley, rose, violet and floral notes, touched with saffron and mandarin. The lactones add a soft creamy quality, while iris and violet give a powdery finish.
The base settles on musk, moss, vanilla and amber, patchouli and vetiver, leather, sandalwood and olibanum incense. That is where the ambery, woody, leathery and smoky accords come forward, with a light animalic edge.
