  White chocolate, rose, and pear. Even though they’re not listed in the ingredients, the blend makes you feel like they’re there. At first, it smells like white flowers and osmanthus; I detect champaca and it overwhelms me. For someone who isn’t a fan of white florals, it was horrifying and I thought it would turn rotten. Wrong. Once the vanilla and other sweets kick in, it transforms into a white chocolate with rose and white flower symphony: rich, attractive, edible, and sensual. Two-meter projection for six hours, then it clings to the skin. I love it, and luckily, it’s mine now. Rating: 9

  The opening is brutal: it smells like wet diapers, lol, super ugly on my skin. But after 5-10 minutes, what a beauty! It transforms into a warm, chocolatey, rose scent—cozy, earthy, and powdery, then turns fruity, almost like a choco-banana, very pleasant. I’ve seen comparisons to Noir de Noir by Tom Ford, which is good, but this one wins on dry-down. It reminds me of the rose in Westside by Bond No. 9 and the peace in Noir Pour Femme by Tom Ford, plus it has that Black Orchid warmth and truffle vibe. Too bad about the opening; for the price, I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s unpleasant at first 🙁

  The Fort & Manle discovery set arrived and caught me off guard. I expected a dominant rose with sweet background notes, like Noir de Noir by Tom Ford, but here the sweet notes take the lead: chocolate, pear, and amber. It’s like a caramelized pear and chocolate dessert with a hint of rose water—a pure gourmand. Dried down, it smells a lot like Black by Pure Distance, and initially, it reminds me of Francesca Bianchi fragrances. The only downside is the performance didn’t meet my expectations; the longevity is decent (6-7 hours), but the projection is very soft. I see it as unisex and perfect for cool nights. Overall rating: 9.5
