I picked this up in the Sephora Discovery Set (came with Daisy, Gorgeous Gardenia, Missing Person, Dylan Purple, and Skin) and later redeemed the regular size. The oil concept reminds me of ancient civilizations where only the wealthy perfumed themselves, either for pleasure or to repel insects; Sumerians applied it to body parts and Greeks spread it all over. Although this coconut scent doesn’t scream antiquity, it is timeless: natural and well-executed, neither too sweet nor like sunscreen. Here, coconut smells like fruit, not food, capturing all its facets: creamy, tropical, and slightly fruity. Paired with musk, it’s one of the best coconut scents I know. It lasts well, though the sillage is low, which I love for summer when you don’t want heavy perfumes. Ideal as a base for floral or citrus scents to give them a tropical twist. The only downside is the price: $98 for 30ml. If it weren’t for the set, which was cheaper, I wouldn’t have paid that much. Presentation: 7/10 (I like the small, minimalist bottle that feels luxurious without being heavy or dark). Longevity: 8/10 (about a good twelve hours on skin, I expected more from an oil). Sillage: 5/10 (projects close to the skin). Originality: 7/10 (few coconut perfumes are this accurate). Versatility: 9/10. Season: mostly summer. Personal taste: 7/10. Would I buy again? I don’t think it will run out soon, so probably not.

  • Coconut lovers, here’s an excellent scent, sweet just right and very natural. While its simplicity makes me imagine it better used alone, it’s a top option as an oil: it’s perfect for moisturizing the skin before applying a sparklier perfume and letting the magic happen.

  • For coconut lovers, this scent nails it perfectly: sweet but not overpowering, with a natural touch. While its simplicity makes me hesitate to wear it alone, it’s a top-tier choice. As an oil, it works great as a base to hydrate the skin before applying a brighter perfume and letting the magic happen.
