  The official website describes this perfume as colorful and expressive in an exotic silver bottle, with a fresh balsamic opening of bergamot and mandarin. The heart blends powdery jasmine, rose, and patchouli, while the base is a strong sandalwood, tobacco, powdered vanilla, and oud. I’m confused that the description says tobacco is in the dry down but then doesn’t list it, because for me it’s the guiding thread, and it’s magnificent! The opening is a blast of woods and tobacco with lots of incense, all smoky and balsamic. This scent dominates the evolution, except for small citrus and floral accents that add delicacy and prevent it from being too rough. The finish is sweet and creamy, with an elegant vanilla that rounds it out. I loved it; it’s ideal for formal nighttime occasions in autumn and winter, for those seeking something out of the ordinary who enjoy tobacco, incense, and oud. I clarify that the incense doesn’t smell like a church, it’s not cathedral-like! ;o)

  The bottle in the photo is a bit misleading; in person, it smells like mentholed incense with a hint of rose. You get a tiny bit of tiger balm mixed with incense, and it smolders just like Amouage’s Interlude. On my skin, it leans clearly masculine. It’s not very potent for an oil. At 11-12 euros, don’t even think about it if you’re looking to explore the world of Arabic attars. I’d give it a 7.7.
