Perfumes de Mariaceleste Lombardo

Born and raised in Sicily, in a small town in the province of Trapani, Mariaceleste Lombardo has breathed in the scents of her land among azahares and jasmine, in a place surrounded by vineyards, flowery meadows, and vegetable gardens under the sunlight.

After finishing high school, she moved to Tuscany, where she began her training that, in 2021, will lead her to become one of the perfumers at Moellhausen.

For Mariaceleste, fragrances are important “symbolic details” that complete the first and brief impression we have of reality and that create a beauty that is not ephemeral—sensations that are etched into our memory.

In 2016, she graduated in Cosmetic Chemistry from the University of Siena. She gained experience and basic knowledge related to cosmetic products, focusing in particular on the range of issues of formulation, industrialization of formulas, cosmetic functionality, and safety of the finished product.

After years of experience in the role of Quality Control and Research & Development within a well-known Italian company manufacturing high-end environmental fragrance products, she attended the exclusive Grasse Institute of Perfumery (GIP), where she obtained the International Technical Degree in Fragrance Creation and Sensory Evaluation.

In January 2020, Mariaceleste embarked on a new qualifying experience as a Trainee Perfumer within a company specialized in fine perfumery. There, and after joining Moellhausen last January 2021, she continued the study of raw materials, focusing on building olfactory memory.

According to Mariaceleste, perfuming means communicating, and when we communicate with fragrance, each person has a great responsibility; our olfactory aura will announce us to others when we meet them and leave a memory of us when we leave. An unforgettable memory.
