Darren is an independent perfumer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Trained in the classic method of perfumery, he has developed his own style and aesthetics over the past 28 years. He has 18 years of experience in developing fragrances for the personal care industry and in creating bespoke perfumes for private clients. He calls this intense, interactive experience the “Bespoke Fragrance Project.”

Darren enjoys creating “Olfactory Experiences” with his fragrances that literally transport the mind to another place and time. He also specializes in recreating vintage and historical perfumes, where he uses natural raw materials from the era, as well as artisanal distillations, aromatic tinctures, and hand-made absolutes, in addition to seasonal enfleurage using native flowers from western Pennsylvania.
