  Before diving into this fragrance, let’s clear up a common confusion: Suspense by Fragrance World is a clone of Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme from 1994, while INTENSE mimics its own INTENSE line. This distinction is key to understanding it. The listed notes aren’t entirely accurate, so here’s what I found on the FW website: top notes of lavender, lemon, bergamot, heliotrope, tarragon, mandarin, orange, and neroli; heart notes of pepper, cinnamon, coriander, geranium, violet, jasmine, and rose; base notes of tobacco, tonka bean, sandalwood, musk, cedar, amber, coumarin, and iris. It tries to capture the spirit of the 1994 original and succeeds, though it evolves differently. It opens with a burst of citrus, a hint of lavender, and a very prominent dry, blond tobacco accord. This fougère-citrus blend with tobacco echoes the original’s drydown, but unlike its inspiration, it doesn’t unfold into new layers—it stays linear and lacks development. It’s a mature men’s fragrance, perfect for cold weather, with over 8 hours of longevity on the skin. The sillage is heavy for the first hour before settling to a moderate trail that leaves noticeable bursts when you move. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind because its 90s vibe and the sharp contrast between citrus and tobacco might not appeal to everyone. It’s not the kind of scent that will earn you compliments wherever you go, but its distinctive aroma ensures you won’t go unnoticed.
