Gula's Milk Strawberry is a floral-fruity gourmand fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Mario Saldivar. In its opening, the top notes unfold milk, strawberry, and berries; the heart reveals powdery notes, while the base settles on woody and caramel notes.

The moment I heard about this masterpiece, I didn’t wait a second to buy it as soon as I could, and I’m so happy I did. It’s a perfume crafted to perfection; the notes are exactly as advertised: at first, it smells milky with strawberries, but the woody side gets its fair share, roughly half and half. On my skin, the red berries add an acidic touch that balances everything so the musky notes with a caramel aftertaste shine at the end, although the strawberry still dominates in every phase… It’s undoubtedly a beautiful perfume and one of my favorites; I’d wear it for night outs. By the way, it lasts on clothes for days. The only thing that bugs me is that it comes in 30ml when I’d prefer 100ml, haha, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy two more bottles when this one runs out. Scent 10/10, longevity 10/10, projection 9/10, and price 10/10.

The moment I heard about this masterpiece, I didn’t hesitate to buy it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s a beautifully crafted perfume: the notes are exactly as described. At first, you detect the milky strawberry and the woody notes, which take center stage, but both are perfectly balanced. On my skin, the red berries add a touch of acidity that ties everything together, leaving the talc-like notes with a hint of caramel as the final protagonists. That said, the strawberry remains dominant throughout all stages… It’s undoubtedly a gorgeous scent and one of my favorites. I’d wear it for night outs. BTW, it lasts on clothes for days. My only comment is that it comes in 30ml; I wish it were 100ml, haha, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy two more bottles when this one runs out. Scent 10/10, longevity 10/10, projection 9/10, price 10/10.

I’ve been following Gula Perfumes for a while now; the concept is interesting and there’s no losing. The treatment with Mario, the nose, is excellent: friendly, passionate, and he knows his audience. I was interested in Milky Strawberry because it reminded me of Cry Baby. I haven’t smelled it or its inspirations, but I used that as my excuse to finally buy a fragrance from Gula—strawberry is my favorite note. Upon spraying, it’s fresh, vibrant strawberry, like biting into a strawberry with whipped cream, no ice cream or overly sweet vibe. Then come the caramel and woods, with a light floral talc touch. It’s delicious, but it’s not what you’d imagine from the name. It recalls the Burberry Her EDP profile, but they aren’t the same. If it’s sweet, the talc and woods keep it from being cloying or gourmand. If you love acidic strawberry and aren’t bothered by woods, it’s a 10/10; don’t recommend it if you’re looking for that Strawberry Pound Cake vibe from BBW.

I’ve been following Gula perfumes for a while now, and the concept is brilliant; there’s no loss. The treatment with Mario, the nose, is excellent: he’s kind, passionate, and knows his audience. I was interested in Strawberry Milky because it reminded me of Cry Baby, although I haven’t heard it or its inspirations; I used it as an excuse to buy my first Gula fragrance since strawberry is one of my favorite notes. Upon spraying, it smells like a fresh, vibrant strawberry, like biting into one with whipped cream, without smelling like ice cream or overly sweet. After a few seconds, the caramel and woody notes emerge more, and a slight talc-like floral note is noticeable. It’s a very rich perfume, but it’s not what you’d imagine from the name. It reminds me of the Burberry Her EDP profile, but I wouldn’t say they are similar in themselves; it just recalls her. If I consider it sweet, the talc and wood notes prevent it from being cloying or totally gourmand. If you like acidic strawberries and aren’t put off by woody aromas, it’s a 10/10; I don’t recommend it for those looking to smell like BBW’s Strawberry Pound Cake.

Looking for red berries à la Cry Baby? You found it! Even after a shower, you still smell it (not just the super expensive ones have marathon longevity). Acidic little red fruits, nothing cloying, with that sweet/acidic balance that’s pure love. Blessed God, that Cry Baby talcy vibe is gone. That 2025 update takes a solar/milky/talc-y/woody path I don’t like; it smells like a baby’s milk-filled cheek and just doesn’t make me happy. Verdict: Cry Baby 6/10, Milky Strawberry 10/10. Plus, the price is amazing, let’s support Mexican talent 🫶

Looking for something with red berries very much in the style of Cry Baby? Here it is. Plus, even if you shower, you still smell (not just super expensive perfumes have marathon longevity). Acidic little red fruits, not cloying, with a sweet/acidic touch that I love. Blessed be, you don’t feel that talc-like quality of Cry Baby. Cry Baby 2025 takes a somewhat solar/milky/talc-like/woody path, which I don’t like. It smells like a baby’s cheek full of milk and doesn’t make me happy. Blessed be: Cry Baby 6/10, Strawberry Milky 10/10. Also, the price is fantastic. Let’s support Mexican talent.

Total deliciousness. Here, fresh strawberry takes the lead, paired with woods and a touch of talc that doesn’t overpower, plus a hint of caramel. If you’re looking for something identical to Burberry Her, forget it—this is bright, acidic strawberry, nothing cloying. It lasts all day, even on clothes; I sprayed it in the morning and it lasted my entire 8-hour work shift. It smells more feminine, but it’s for everyone, so go for it! Bonus points for being a Mexican brand that doesn’t compromise against designer or niche houses.
